Several public transport routes will be changed during "Lattelecom" Riga Marathon
"Rīgas satiksme" informs that on Sunday, May 17, during the "Lattelecom" Riga Marathon run, from 7:30 till the end of the Marathon, several public transport routes will be changed and some will be closed.
During the Marathon, those passengers who have bought and use monthly tickets for the tram and trolleybus routes which will be closed will be allowed to use other bus, trolleybus and tram routes to reach the necessary destination without registering their trips.
Buses
Buses No. 1 and 9 – will run to the city centre by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, Satekles Street, Dzirnavu Street and further by the route. From the city centre, buses will run by the route to Satekles Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route.
Buses No. 2 and 24 – will run to the city centre by the route to Tilta Street, then in Duntes Street, Kr. Valdemāra Street, Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From the city centre, buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A.Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Kr. Valdemāra Street, Duntes Street, Tilta Street and further by the route.
Buses No. 3, 21 and 40 – will run from Bolderāja, Imanta and Ziepniekkalns by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route. On the way back to Bolderāja, Imanta, Ziepniekkalns buses will run by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 6 – will run by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, Satekles Street to stop "Central Railway Terminal". From the Central Railway Terminal it will run in Satekles Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 11 – will run to the city centre by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From the city centre it will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Kr. Valdemāra Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 12 – will run from the city centre by the route to Gogoļa Street, then in Gogoļa Street, F. Sadovņikova Street, Ludzas Street, Lauvas Street, Lomonosova Street, Lubānas Street, Salaspils Street, Rušonu Street, Prūšu Street, Maskavas Street, across Dienvidu Bridge and further by the route.
Buses No. 14 and 16 – will run to the city centre by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From the centre buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 13 – will run to railway station „Preču 2” by the route to Daugavgrīvas Street, then in Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambiss, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, Marijas Street and further by the route. On the way back to Babīte railway station, it will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, 13th January Street, on 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Raņķa dambis, Daugavgrīvas Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 20 – will run from Pļavnieki by the route to Kr. Valdemāra Street, then in Kr. Valdemāra Street, Stabu Street and back by the route to Pļavnieki.
Bus No. 50 – will run to the city centre by the route to A. Čaka Street, then in A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From the city centre it will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Stabu Street and further by the route.
Buses No. 37, 41 and 53 – will run from Imanta and Zolitūde by the route to Slokas Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Inženieru Street to terminal „University of Latvia” of trolleybus route No. 15. On the way back to Imanta and Zolitūde buses will run from Inženieru Street in Raiņa Boulevard, 13th January Street, on 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
Bus route No. 57 will be closed on May 17.
Trams
Tram No.5 – will run from Iļģuciems to the Central market and back. It will not run from Mīlgrāvis.
Tram No. 6. – will run from Jugla to Railway Terminal Square (Radio Street). It will not run from Ausekļa Street.
Tram No. 7 – will run from TC „Dole” by the route to stop „Central market” in Maskavas Street, then in Maskavas Street, 13th January Street, Prāgas Street and back by the route to TC „Dole”. It will not run from Ausekļa Street.
Retro tram – will run from 9:30 by route „Radio Street – Mežaparks– Radio Street”.
Trolleybuses
Trolleybus route No. 1 will be closed.
Trolleybus No. 3 – will run from the Central market to Sarkandaugava and Kundziņsala by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Kr. Valdemāra Street and further by the route. From Sarkandaugava and Kundziņsala it will run by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street to the Central market.
Trolleybus route No. 5 will be closed.
Trolleybus No. 9 – will run from Railway Terminal Square to Iļģuciems by the route to Uzvaras Boulevard, then in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street to Baložu Street and further by the route.
Trolleybus No. 12 – will run from Šmerlis to Āgenskalna priedes by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, 13th January Street, on 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street to Baložu Street and further by the route. From Āgenskalna priedes back to Šmerlis it will run by the route to Kalnciema Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street to Brīvības Street and further by the route.
Trolleybus No. 14 – will run from Mežciems by the route to Bruņinieku Street, then in Bruņinieku Street, Kr. Valdemāra Street, Stabu Street and back in Brīvības Street to Mežciems.
Trolleybus No. 17 – will run from Purvciems by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, Satekles Street to the Central Railway Terminal (terminal of trolleybus route No. 23) and then back in Satekles Street, Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route to Purvciems.
Trolleybus No. 19 – will run from Inženieru Street (terminal of trolleybus route No. 15) to control centre in Ziepniekkalns (terminal of bus route No. 40). Stop „Ziepniekkalns” (terminal of trolleybus route No. 19) will be closed during the Marathon. On the way from the University of Latvia, the trolleybus will stop at stop „Central railway terminal” of trolleybus No. 15 in Raiņa Boulevard, but will not stop at stop „Central railway terminal” of trolleybus routes 3, 19 and 24 (near the tunnel).
Trolleybus No. 24 – will run from JSC Dzintars to Inženieru Street (terminal of trolleybus route No. 15). On the way from the University of Latvia, the trolleybus will stop at stop „Central railway terminal” of trolleybus No. 15 in Raiņa Boulevard, but will not stop at stop „Central railway terminal” of trolleybus routes 3, 19 and 24 (near the tunnel).
Trolleybus route No. 25 will be closed.
Minibuses
Minibus No. 200 – will run from the city centre in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Kr. Valdemāra Street and further by the route. On the way to the city centre it will run by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street.
Minibus No. 224 – will run from the city centre in Marijas Street, A.Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Kr. Valdemāra Street and further by the route. On the way to the city centre it will run by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street and further by the route.
Minibus No. 267 – will run from the city centre by the route to Lāčplēša Street, then in Tērbatas Street, Bruņinieku Street, Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Kr. Valdemāra Street and further by the route. On the way to the city centre it will run by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, Tērbatas Street, Lāčplēša Street and further by the route.
Minibus No. 206 – will run from the city centre by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route. On the way to the city centre it will run by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route.
Minibus No. 216 – will run from Višķu Street by the route to Tērbatas Street, then in Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street (terminal at Marijas Street 1). It will run back to Višķu Street from Railway terminal Square.
Minibus No. 237 – will run from Imanta by the route to Slokas Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Tērbatas Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street (terminal at Marijas Street 1). It will run back to Imanta in 13th January Street, on 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
Minibus No. 236 – will run from Zolitūdes by the route to Slokas Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Tērbatas Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street (terminal at Marijas Street 1). It will run back to Zolitūde in 13th January Street, on 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
Minibus No. 241 – will run from the airport by the route to Slokas Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Tērbatas Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street (terminal at Marijas Street 1). It will run back to the airport in 13th January Street, on 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
